Manifestation

Manifesting (Manifestation) is setting an intention to obtain the things we desire. Your thoughts, emotions, and actions all point you in the direction you wish to go, and through sending out those vibes, the universe will send attention back. Thinking of this as a genie wish-like system sounds nuts, but it's not far off. If you had 3 (realistic and obtainable) wishes what would they be?

As you think of these 3 things you want, keep in mind that for the universe to work in your favor, you will have to meet the universe half-way. Choosing to believe that YOU CAN or YOU DESERVE TO obtain these things as you work through occasional rain showers will lead to better results. Think of the universe as a little lifeboat that happened to float up and save Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and energy will provoke tools to help you along the way.

Even if you’re not a hippie energy kind of person, you are aware of how different doubt-driven work is compared to optimistic-infused work. When we work with doubt, we are working against ourselves and resisting everything outside of us. How exhausting! When we believe in our work abilities and enjoy the process as best as we can, despite how the cards are dealt, we know how to make better use of our energy and are better able to feel awaken and motivated longer. Change happens so fast from the time we are born to roughly our mid-twenties, and then life starts to level out for a bit until change comes knocking again around your thirties and continues to occur until most people retire, mostly due to exhaustion and excitement to wind-down and do minimal. Getting comfortable with change means less tension and resistance, which means conserved energy, which means less wear and tear on our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, which means you live a longer-healthier / healthier-longer life! Cool beans!

To start living with a better sense of direction and purpose, Manifest (think, feel, take steps towards, and believe in)what you truly desire in life. These can be tangible items or experiences; a better job, a way to express yourself, a home, a family, a partner, a house fur-mate, more freedom, more self-acceptance, a healthier version of yourself, a change of scenery; literally anything. If you can't let go of a thought, or if a thought keeps reoccurring, why do you think that might be? If you have any gut feelings, or if something provokes excitement in you, do you allow yourself to explore that? I think we get in a habit of brushing thoughts and feelings aside as we conquer life. But, then we get so far down the road that what was once an out-of-this-world Dream becomes a bittersweet memory. We've let life keep on moving without slowing down and taking control. It is true: the world keeps moving, time doesn't stand still, but we, like all of the wild animals in the world, have the ability to explore this vast planet and move around, or stop for a second. We have organs that allow us to live, explore creativity and curiosity, and experience different things that heighten our senses. So when we think about everything we are built to do, why do we limit ourselves?

Through manifesting, we can start to train our brains, hearts, and bodies to take control and co-create with the universe whatever our destiny is supposed to be. Here is a little step-by-step on how to start Manifesting so you can welcome and being to experience positive change.

1. Get clear on your desires. What do you want?

2. Send your desires by thought and emotion out into the universe. Start focusing on the steps you need to take in your mental health and emotional health so you can allow flow versus resistance.

3. In order for this 'you and the universe' relationship to work, you need to put in some effort. Take action in progress toward your goals. Make a list of 1-3 things you can do DAILY to make progress towards your goals. Don't overwhelm yourself. These are promises you're making about the steps you are taking!

4. Trust that the process will work out how it is supposed to. Even when bumps in the road occur, remember that this is a journey to a new beginning, not to a dead-end road. Whoever said life is easy had it one of two ways: they did nothing to get to where they were or they did everything that they could. If you fall into the category where life has come with struggles and you have had to work a little for the things you want in life, then you already know you are capable. If you have experienced a reward for anything then you are already aware that you deserve to be recognized for your drive and passion. So keep believing, and keep positive vibrations through your brain, heart, body, and soul.

5. Do a check-in once in a while. Taking 15-minutes a day to be present with those 1-3 steps helps build a routine and healthy habit. Consistency takes a person from beginner to experienced in exchange for time and present awareness. Each week, it's good to jot-down or keep a tracking system of how your manifestation is going so that you can see if your efforts are being received by the outer-world. It's also a way to keep yourself accountable!

If you need assistance in accountability, you can ask a friend, family member, or see if there is a community of like-minded, like-hearted, or like-spirted people you can surround yourself with so that you can take your life in the direction you want it to go. Talking with others about what you find excitement or joy in and listening to what they feel passion towards is good is making our souls feel supported and valued.

Tip: Manifesting around the time of a New Moon is especially beneficial as a new moon means new beginnings.
